Our Story
Crafting Custom
Cottages & Boathouses
in Muskoka

Born and raised in a small town in Muskoka, I feel fortunate to call this region home. My career began as a landscaper along the lakes, where I developed a deep appreciation for Muskoka's shoreline properties and the craftmanship behind the cottages that define them.

Inspired by the carpenters building these remarkable cottages, I pursued a carpentry apprenticeship and trained alongside skilled tradespeople known for their strong work ethic and attention to detail. Through dedication to the craft, I earned my Red Seal Certification in Carpentry and spent over a decade refining my skills before founding Craig Watson Construction Inc.

Today, our team specializes in building custom cottages and boathouses throughout Muskoka, working along the shores of Lake Muskoka, Lake Rosseau, Lake Joseph, and the surrounding lakes. While craftmanship remains at the core of every project, clear communication and strong collaboration with clients, architects and trades are just as important.

By taking on a select number of projects annually, we ensure every build receives the attention, care and quality required to create exceptional Muskoka properties designed to last for generations.
